Labor Day 20010 Fort Bragg Ca. Hidden Pines Campground

September 2010 - Labor Day weekend at the beach. To all who made it to the beach and for all of us wishing we were there too... happy holiday. The weather on the north west coast offered no hurricane as did the north east coast this year, so weather in the west remains better for camping and travel. Many people visit from far off lands,  it is a good thing when their travel is not hurt by weather or other troubles. Hidden Pines and Fort Bragg remain a great destination. Aside from good weather, low crime, great food, and  a spectacular coast line... the abalone season fall crab season are offering a great start on my favorite season at the coast. September through November at Hidden Pines are the best times of the year to visit.  I  hope to visit with you and yours on the beach real soon..

Welcome Randy and Allison Burke to Hidden Pines Campground

This next weekend we are pleased to hear that our good friends from Las Vegas will be coming to join us at the campground. Their tour is welcome as I remember their last visit well. We came upon some Elk on the beach and that was a rare treat. They travel in their motor home away from the hot desert to the scenic north coast of California where they visit with us before moving on to discover new places and to visit with other family and friends along the way... See ya when we see ya.

Salmon Fishing Season Remains Open Fort Bragg California

Good news for salmon fishing and campers. Fishermen are booking reservations at Hidden Pines Campground located only half a mile from Noyo Harbor, in Fort Bragg, California. The salmon fishing season remains open in 2010. Unlike 2008 and 2009 this year fishing and camping on the spectacular north coast of California will incude salmon, a real treat for northern California anglers. At Hidden Pines Campground, we are looking forward to adding this healthy treat to the menu. Abalone, scallops, salmon, lingcod, red snapper, and pacific halibut, all wild and living in the clear cool waters around and near to Noyo Harbor. No long boat rides hear as in some areas. Many of our sportsmen bring their boats and set up camp for a week or more,  receiving a great rate of $180 for an RV camp or $120 for a tent site. There are some small fees for extra vehicles, pets, boats, and extra guests so call ahead to make your plans. Good fishing to all my friends, and future friends also.  Mike Jaeger live 5-16-2010.

Hidden Pines Campground Fort Bragg California - April 2010 -

The abalone season and salmon fishing began with a storm. A low pressure cold front with rain and heavy seas greeted the first weekend of April and delayed a 2010 rush of for the open harvest for north coast treasure from the great Pacific ocean. Hidden Pines Campground had their Easter celebration without the feast of  abalone and salmon, being greatful instead for rain and mushrooms, and the spectacular beauty of  the North Coast Redwood Forest contrasted by fields of flowers and lush green habitats nestled beside the blue Pacific with her rocky tide pools, and sandy beaches inside of spectacular coves and ocean caves. I urge you to try out an ocean cave tour at Van Dam Park... I think Lost Coast Tours will be providing ocean cave tours on weekends very soon now. If you are near the dive shop, boat harbor, or botanical gardens... stop by our Market at 18701 Highway one and say hello. I want to say thank you to our many friends and guests. Thank you for reaing my blog and I hope you are blessed with a ten inch abalone and a 50 pound salmon this year.
